It is easy to assume that purpose belongs to visible people with obvious ministries. Yet Ephesians 2:10 speaks to ordinary Christians living ordinary days. In Christ, no act of faithful obedience is small in the eyes of God.
Paul says we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. That means purpose is not something we invent through pressure. It is something we receive through grace. We are not self-made projects. We are redeemed people being formed by a wise and loving Savior.
The verse also reminds us that good works are prepared beforehand by God. You do not need to manufacture a dramatic calling before breakfast. Sometimes the prepared work is forgiving quickly, serving quietly, telling the truth, praying for a friend, or staying patient when your flesh wants control.
For many believers, the most important spiritual work happens where no one applauds. It happens in family conversations, in unseen integrity at work, in church faithfulness that never becomes a platform, and in private repentance that keeps the heart soft before God.
If you feel overlooked, let Ephesians 2:10 steady you. The Lord has not misplaced your life. Ask Him for light for the next act of obedience, and trust that the God who saved you by grace will also guide you into meaningful faithfulness.
